LEAVES, LEAVES, LEAVES...

Foglie, foglie e ancora foglie. Mi piace dedicarmi a cose diverse ma ci sono soggetti che ritornano sempre. E' comunque un piacere, non ho certo abbandonato la mia sperimentazione sulle diverse forme e particolarità delle foglie anzi, credo di aver solo iniziato a curiosarle. In ogni caso questa collana mi è stata richiesta da una signora che aveva acquistato uno di questi bracciali all'ultimo mercatino di Natale. Ho utilizzato la stessa pietra, l'avventurina, anche se in taglio diverso. Ho variato invece la foglia dandole un po' più di movimento perchè guardandomi indietro ho notato imperfezioni e forse qualche mancanza di dettagli... e dico forse perchè non mi dispiacciono nemmeno i bordi lineari e il disegno semplificato. Leaves, leaves and even leaves. I like to dedicate myself to different things but there are subjects who keep coming back. It's still a pleasure, I certainly don't have left my experimentation on different forms and characteristics of the leaves on the contrary, I think I've only started to browse them. In any case, this necklace was request to me by a lady who had purchased one of these bracelets at last Christmas market. I used the same stone, aventurine, although in a different cut. I instead changed the leaf giving her a little more movement because looking back I noticed imperfections and perhaps some lack of details... and I say maybe because I do not mind even the linear edges and simplified design. Scrolling you will find also the photo of the necklace worn :-)

Nei prossimi mesi ci sarà qualche evento per me importante quindi, vista l'urgente necessità di rimettermi in forma, ieri sera mi ero ripromessa di fare yoga fai-da-te grazie ad un'app fighissima che ho scaricato recentemente. Invece non ho resistito: ero così troppo, troppo contenta di aver finito questa collana che mi sono messa all'opera per fotografarla e scrivere un post tutto per lei!

Realizzarla non è stato facile perchè ho deciso di unire a specchio coppie di dischi in ottone tramite saldatura e inizialmente pensavo fosse una cosa veloce. In realtà non avevo fatto i conti con la scarsa precisione che si ha quando si utilizzano le forbici per il metallo anziché il tagliadischi, ma avendone uno davvero odioso e praticamente inutile ho impiegato un bel po' di tempo a far combaciare perfettamente i lati dei dischetti. Ovviamente non voglio mai lasciarla vinta a niente e nessuno ma non nego di essere stata tentata dal rinunciare!!

In the coming months there will be some important event for me then, given the urgent need to get back in shape, last night I had promised to do diy yoga thanks to an app so cool that I downloaded recently. Instead I could not resist: I was so too, too happy to have finished this necklace that I started work to photograph and write a post all for her!
Realize it was not easy because I have decided to join on mirror pairs of brass discs by welding and initially I thought it was a quick thing. Actually I had come to terms with the lack precision that is when you use metal scissors instead of the disk cutter, but having one really obnoxious and practically useless I took a lot of time to match perfectly the sides of the disks. Obviously I never want to leave it won at nothing and at no one but I do not deny that I was tempted by giving up!!

Il foro al centro è visibilmente irregolare e c'è un perché: lo sono anche le perle di fiume su cui avevo deciso di costruire i componenti della collana. Il foro è un po' uno specchio sulla perla, ne segue i lineamenti anche se non troppo fedelmente. L'ottone mi sembrava perfetto, mi piace un sacco il contrasto del giallo con l'azzurro, il blu, il viola.

La collana è un girocollo composto in realtà da due parti separabili, ho cercato così di renderla ancora più particolare perchè a mio parere non le si addiceva un semplice cordino di lino buttato lì. Con le due chiusure laterali in argento 925 mi è sembrato di darle una continuità.
The hole in the center is visibly uneven and there is a reason: also the freshwater pearls are irregular on which I had decided to build the components of the necklace. The hole is a bit a mirror on the pearl, it follows the outlines although not too faithfully. The brass seemed perfect, I like a lot the contrast of yellow with azure, blue, purple.
The necklace is a crew-neck that consists actually on two separable parts, so I tried to make it even more special because in my opinion did not suit her a simple linen lanyard tossed. With the two side locks on silver 925 I seemed to give her a continuity.

PS → Se mai potesse servire a qualcuno questa informazione, ho scoperto come evitare di imprecare ogni volta che carico le foto su blogger. Non capivo perchè nonostante il lavoraccio eseguito per elaborare al meglio le immagini, nei post sembrassero sempre scure e davvero pessime. Il problema è il formato, perché salvandole in png anziché jpg si vedono molto molto meglio e l'effetto è tutta un'altra cosa!

CROSS • CIONDOLO SU COMMISSIONE

Questa collana mi è stata commissionata poche settimane fa. A volte succede che mi venga richiesto qualcosa progettato nei minimi dettagli, altre volte devo essere io a inventarmi qualcosa... come in questo caso. Il tema era la religione e ho scelto subito la croce, perché è il simbolo più immediato e perché si prestava perfettamente alla sobrietà. Infatti la seconda condizione era la discrezione del ciondolo, doveva essere adatto ad una persona riservata. Ho abbozzato 4 ciondoli e mentre disegnavo questo ho capito che sarebbe stato scelto. E infatti eccolo qua :-)

This necklace was commissioned to me a few weeks ago. Sometimes it happens that someone require me something designed on details, other times I have to invent something... as in this case. The theme was the religion and I immediately chose the cross, because it is the symbol most immediate and it lent itself perfectly to sobriety. In fact, the second condition was the discretion of the pendant, wich had to be adapt to a reserved person. I sketched 4 pendants and while I was drawing this one I realized that would be chosen. In fact, here it is :-)

TENEREZZE • SEGNALIBRI PER CUCCIOLI

Tutto ciò che vi mostro ultimamente fa parte degli ultimi accessori realizzati nel 2014. Nel frattempo sento di evolvermi un pochino pochino di più, sto sperimentando nuove tecniche di lavorazione e ho un grande progetto in mente, e non vedo l'ora di farvi vedere tutto!

Dall'inizio dell'anno aggiorno poco il blog per effetto del "meno si fa, meno si farebbe" infatti ora che ho molto più tempo da dedicare alla mia passione - non so perché - faccio tutto con molta più calma. Oggi è il turno di questi segnalibri per bambini che a suo tempo ho pensato come possibili regali di Natale per figli, nipotini e in generale piccoli amici. Non vi nego che ho fatto una copia del segnalibro con l'uccellino da tenere per me :-P Ecco la carrellata!

All that I show lately is part of the latest accessories I made in 2014. In the meantime I feel to evolve a little bit more, I'm experimenting new techniques and I have a big project in mind, and I can not wait to show you all! Since the beginning of the year I update little the blog for the effect of "the less you do, the less you would do" in fact now that I have much more time to devote to my passion - not sure why - I do everything with much more calm. Today is the turn of these bookmarks for children who at the time I thought as possible Christmas gifts for children, grandchildren and generally little friends. There I deny that I made a copy of the bookmark with the bird to keep to myself :-P Here's the rundown!
