LEAVES, LEAVES, LEAVES...

Foglie, foglie e ancora foglie. Mi piace dedicarmi a cose diverse ma ci sono soggetti che ritornano sempre. E' comunque un piacere, non ho certo abbandonato la mia sperimentazione sulle diverse forme e particolarità delle foglie anzi, credo di aver solo iniziato a curiosarle. In ogni caso questa collana mi è stata richiesta da una signora che aveva acquistato uno di questi bracciali all'ultimo mercatino di Natale. Ho utilizzato la stessa pietra, l'avventurina, anche se in taglio diverso. Ho variato invece la foglia dandole un po' più di movimento perchè guardandomi indietro ho notato imperfezioni e forse qualche mancanza di dettagli... e dico forse perchè non mi dispiacciono nemmeno i bordi lineari e il disegno semplificato. Scorrendo in troverete anche la foto della collana indossata :-)

I instead changed the leaf giving her a little more movement because looking back I noticed imperfections and perhaps some lack of details... and I say maybe because I do not mind even the linear edges and simplified design. ORECCHINI A LAMPADARIO • ARGENTO E GIADA

Dopo due settimane di astinenza da gioiellini eccomi finalmente di nuovo qua a raccontarvi della mia ultima avventura pseudo orafa! Ultimamente non ho proprio avuto tempo di mettere mano su martelli, metalli e pietre: sono stata impegnata con un altro "progetto" lavorativo che purtroppo non è andato a buon fine, ma per fortuna so bene che bisogna sempre trovare e guardare fissi i lati positivi delle cose, perchè ce ne sono sempre, e in questo caso il lato positivo è avere di nuovo tempo. Per fare tante cose tra cui questa, di cui sentivo tantissimo la mancanza!

Ma veniamo a noi... unire il concetto di semplicità al modello di orecchini "a lampadario", tipologia che adoro, non è una cosa immediata. A dirla tutta sembra una questione piuttosto assurda, ma come ho già fatto trapelare da precedenti post la mia missione è proprio quella di semplificare. Tutto! E per farlo ho scarabocchiato delle linee essenziali di argento sterling che vanno anche un po' oltre i bordi, filano via lisce e lineari e non si incasinano tra di loro ma semplicemente si appoggiano l'una sull'altra. A dar loro un tono ci pensano le gocce di giada, in cui sotto la luce si scorge ogni tanto qualche piccolo luccichio.

ORECCHINI RAME E LABRADORITE BIANCA

Con gli orecchini dopo un po' mi scatta l'astinenza. Se non ne faccio per un periodo troppo lungo, ad un tratto mi metto a realizzarne un paio senza neanche pensarci troppo. Sono giorni che metto su carta le mie idee, ho tanti progetti in mente, ma questo non è servito a far sì che questi orecchini non rubassero la precedenza.

Sono semplici, l'idea di partenza è quella di non rendere direttamente visibile il colore sul retro della lamina, perchè chi li vede indossati si possa chiedere "ma sbaglio o avevo visto del colore?", insomma: devono incuriosire! Li ho impreziositi con della labradorite bianca, che da un po' è salita al vertice delle mie pietre preferite.

Per ora ho realizzato questi orecchini pendenti in due versioni: con il retro verde acqua e bianco. Ma nulla vieta di personalizzarli con altri colori!

NUVOLETTE • HOME DECOR

Come accennato sulla pagina facebook, questa estate qui al nord di nuvolette ce ne sono state tante. Tantissime. Mentre ero in ferie ho fatto pulizia, e ne ho trovate anche di rame, agganciate ad alcuni fili per creare delle collane (questa) Dovete sapere che data la mia inesperienza, per i mercatini di Natale del 2013 avevo preparato tante copie di gioielli che avevo già realizzato per avere una piccola scorta, avendo poco tempo per crearne di nuovi. Questa collana non ha avuto un grande successo e ho deciso di riciclarla realizzando un oggetto per decorare la casa. Staccate le nuvolette, ho preso un pezzo di legno levigato dall'acqua del lago (d'Idro) e ho fatto dei forellini. Ho appeso le nuvolette e le ho accompagnate da alcuni pezzettini di cristallo di rocca, tenuti insieme da fili di rame, per simulare un po' le goccioline che spesso accompagnano le nuvole.

I hung the clouds, and I accompanied by some small pieces of rock crystal, held together with copper wire, to simulate a little droplets that often accompany the clouds.

Mi piacciono tanto le decorazioni per la casa un po' particolari, fai da te, dai colori tenui. Come questa con il legno nudo, il colore delicato della corda, quello più deciso del rame, la nota di vivacità regalata dal turchese e lo scintillio del cristallo. Io ci provo, e mi diverto. E voi cosa ne pensate del fatto di usare la lavorazione del metallo anche per creare delle decorazioni?

BRACCIALI ESTIVI E BUONE FERIE!

Mi riferisco alle blogger: non so se vi capita mai di pensare "devo assolutamente scrivere di quella cosa sul blog" per poi realizzare un altro accessorio e ri-pensare "no no, prima metto questo, poi quell'altro, poi si vedrà". Insomma...qui a volte c'è un gran caos, priorità immancabilmente non rispettate. Infatti questi bracciali aspettano da un po'. Aspettano che l'estate in verità, perchè si è fatta desiderare parecchio e non sembra ancora convinta a farsi vedere del tutto. Così, se non viene lei da noi, vanno loro da lei. I bracciali... con tondi di giada colorata: gialla, corallo, verde, rosa, viola, azzurro. Semplici, con chiusura in rame. Ogni tanto un po' di semplicità e leggerezza ci vuole, se colorata tanto meglio!

Credo di essermi messa automaticamente in modalità ferie, senza deciderlo ho messo un po' tutto da parte nonostante mi fossi prefissata di postare delle cosine nuove, prima della pausa estiva. Nelle prossime due settimane non aggiornerò il blog, ma se seguite la mia pagina facebook non si sa mai, mi piace giocare con l'app apposita e mi diverto a mettere ogni tanto qualche immagine :)

ANELLO IN RAME E PIETRE DURE

Quando ho realizzato il ciondolo in filo di rame e avventurina "albero della vita" l'ho fatto su richiesta e nella stessa commissione c'era un anello da potergli abbinare. Anche in questo caso c'era una preferenza per il filo e non per la lamina di metallo, e seguendo espressamente le indicazioni della committente ne è uscito fuori questo anello con chips e tondi di avventurina.

ALBERO DELLA VITA - CIONDOLO IN RAME E AVVENTURINA

Non lavoro molto con il filo metallico, mi affido quasi sempre alle forme che nascono dalla lamina. Sarà per questo che quando qualcuno mi chiede di realizzare un gioiello wire sono un po' spaventata, e un po' sollevata. Spaventata perchè non sono all'altezza di chi con il filo crea cose meravigliose, sollevata perchè ho la possibilità di "allenarmi" anche in questo.

Di ciondoli come questi ce ne sono tanti, l'albero della vita è un must ma a mio parere non stanca perchè è un simbolo bello da vedere e contiene bellissimi significati. Come vi spiegavo anche qui, quando ho provato ad interpretarlo con la lamina.

ORECCHINI IN RAME E ARGILLA COLORATI

E' ormai nota la mia nuova ossessione: l'argilla. Qui ho postato i primi orecchini realizzati con questo materiale, oggi ve ne presento un nuovo modello. Come sempre c'è un'idea di partenza e questa volta era quella di realizzare qualcosa di molto leggero, colorato, minimale, un orecchino molto lungo.

Questi orecchini sono in argilla e rame: ho fatto sì che l'argilla si trasformasse in un tubicino e avvolgesse un filo di rame fuso e appallottolato. Lo stesso filo di rame forma l'occhiello che permette al pendente di agganciarsi alla semplicissima monachella, anch'essa in rame.

La scelta dei colori arriva da Pinterest: ho preso ispirazione dai tanti accostamenti di colori che ho "accumulato" nella mia cartella palettes per non abbandonarmi al caso, perchè divento sempre più consapevole di quanto anche il feeling tra i colori sia importante a livello di impatto.

ORECCHINI A PERNO CON PIETRE COLORATE

Questi orecchini li vedo bene per quando non si ha voglia di indossarne di ingombranti o troppo appariscenti ma non si vuole comunque uscire senza. E' il classico orecchino che va bene sempre, e in effetti non ho una particolare descrizione da fare di loro... perchè nel loro minimalismo si descrivono già da soli!

Pietra a mezzo foro, perno in rame e farfallina in argento sterling. Nell'ordine, a partire dalla pietra bianca (foto sotto): agata bianca, quarzo rosa, occhio di tigre, avventurina pesca, onice blu, onice verde, onice nero.

PETALI... O QUASI

A volte mi capita di dare un soprannome a qualcosa che realizzo e quel soprannome diventa il nome perchè non riesco più a vederlo con altri occhi. Questi orecchini li ho soprannominati "petali" quando erano ancora solo dei dischetti di rame appena ritagliati dalla lamina, il risultato finale non lo sembrano ma continuo a chiamarli così, mi piace...

Come si vede dalle foto sono orecchini a perno, realizzato tramite saldatura, di due dimensioni: uno di 7 mm di diametro e l'altro di 12. Ne ho lasciati alcuni paia del colore naturale del rame, gli altri li ho anticati con una patina scura e su alcuni di questi ho aggiunto un po' di colore. La farfallina è in argento 925.
