SCACCIASOGNI FATTO A MANO - DECORAZIONI PER LA CASA

 

Buongiorno mondo!

Voglio iniziare questa settimana con un po' di tono, nelle scorse settimane sono stata piuttosto piatta ed è ora di recuperare. Ieri mi sono fatta una bella passeggiata al lago (d'Idro, meraviglia!), il sole mi ha ricaricata ed oggi mi sento piena di energie!

La settimana scorsa, esattamente qui, ho introdotto un nuovo materiale che probabilmente farà parte delle mie creazioni per molto, molto tempo: l'argilla. Ho già parlato del fatto che non c'è bisogno di cuocerla e questo semplifica e velocizza non di poco il processo di realizzazione delle mie idee. Vi ho anche accennato il mio desiderio di iniziare a fare qualcosina anche per la decorazione della casa, perchè ho una vera e propria passione per tutte quelle cosine discrete ma originali che si vedono su Pinterest ma anche su Etsy. Mi piacciono talmente tanto questi home decor dai toni e dai materiali naturali che ho iniziato a realizzarne per me, per casa mia. Quindi mi sono detta che avrei potuto condividerli con voi e perchè no, inserire il genere "home decor" tra gli accessori shaping metal.

Good morning world! I want to start this week with a little tone, in recent weeks have been pretty flat and is now time to recovering. Yesterday I made a nice walk to the lake (of Idro, wonder!), the sun has recharged me and now I feel full of energy!Last week, right here, I introduced a new material that probably will be part of my creations for a very long time: clay. I have already talked about the fact that there is no need to cook and this simplifies and speeds not just the process of realization of my ideas. I have also mentioned my desire to start making a little something for the decoration of the house, because I have a real passion for all those discrete but original little things that can be seen on Pinterest but also on Etsy. I like so much these natural home decor tones and materials that I began to realize for myself, for my house. So I said to myself that I could share them with you and why not put the kind of "home decor" in the shaping metal accessories.

Quello che vedete nell'immagine è uno scacciasogni. Ho realizzato e sagomato le farfalle di diverse dimensioni, le ho colorate di bianco e agganciate al filo di cotone color naturale. Le farfalle sono appese con dei ganci di rame precedentemete fuso per creare una pallina, che le blocca al laccetto senza essere troppo vistoso. A fare da supporto è del legno sagomato per formare un cerchio, ben saldo grazie al filo di rame. Due rondelle di ametista impreziosiscono il laccetto di cotone che serve da gancio.

What you see in the picture is a dreamcatcher. I made and shaped butterflies of different sizes, I've colored and hook them to the natural color cotton thread. The butterflies are hung with an copper hooks molten before to create a ball, that hangs from the cord without being too showy. To make the support is the wood that is shaped to form a circle, firmly thanks to the copper wire. Two amethyst washers adorn the strap of cotton which serves as a hook.

Io l'ho attaccato alla lampada da terra che ho vicino al divano perchè mi piace lo stile naturale, dai toni chiari, ma lo vedrei bene anche nella cameretta di una bimba. E perchè no, anche appeso all'esterno, su un balcone o in veranda, per farlo muovere lievemente al vento.

I've stuck to the floor lamp next to the couch because I like the natural style, light-colored, but I would see it well in the bedroom of a child. And why not, hanging outside on a balcony or patio to make it move slightly in the wind.

ARGILLA • NUOVI MATERIALI E NUOVE IDEE

E' da un po' di tempo che prometto nuovi misteriosi materiali, e come vi ho annunciato venerdì scorso sulla mia pagina facebook, finalmente ecco il primo: l'argilla. Finalmente ho messo "le mani in pasta", finalmente ho scoperto se inserire l'argilla tra un po' di rame e qualche pietra era fattibile, finalmente ho un elemento tra le mani a cui posso dare tutte le forme che voglio!

Il primo gioiello che è venuto fuori da questo incontro è un paio di orecchini. Ho creato dei piccoli dischetti forati e, seguendo l'idea originale, li ho fatti lineari e lunghi, distanziando un elemento dall'altro con dei cerchietti in filo di rame. Un filo di rame appallottolato tiene insieme il tutto e un altro compone la monachella.

Ovviamente il rame non poteva mancare perchè non voglio completamente stravolgere l'insieme di cose che ho fatto finora, ma amalgamare un nuovo componente o al limite creare un ramo di gioielli, ma che ha sempre come base il metallo.

It's a bit of time that I promise you mysterious new materials, and as I announced last Friday on my facebook page, finally here is the first: the clay. Finally I put "hands-on", I finally found out whether to put the clay in a bit of copper and some stones was feasible, I finally got an item in my hands that I can give them all the forms that I want!

The first jewel that came out of this meeting is a pair of earrings. I created small disks drilled and, following the original idea, I made them straight and long, with an element spacing one from the other with copper wire circles. A copper wire balled holds everything together and another one makes the hook.

Obviously, the copper could not miss because I do not want to completely upset all of the things I've done so far, but mix a new component or at least create a branch of jewelry, but it has always as a base metal. 

Da cosa nasce l'idea dell'argilla. Prima di tutto mi piace sperimentare più cose, non sono il tipo che si fossilizza su poche idee anche perchè penso che provando più cose si trovi poi quel feeling con i giusti materiali e con i giusti progetti. Sono innamorata della ceramica, perdo ore vagando su Pinterest e osservando tutto ciò che si può fare con questo materiale meraviglioso... non si può dire però che sia un hobby economico, ci vorrebbe un buon forno e al momento non posso inserirlo tra la lista spesa dei desideri. Ho cercato quindi un materiale più povero, lo cerco in realtà a tempo perso da qualche anno e finalmente, per caso, ho trovato quello che fa per me. Nulla che si avvicini a ciò che si può fare con la ceramica, ma anche con materiali meno importanti ci si può sbizzarrire.

L'argilla ha un colore naturale che mi piace tantissimo, si può comunque colorare a piacimento e, da quel che ho potuto verificare, è anche resistente e quindi affidabile. Il tipo di argilla che utilizzo non ha bisogno di cottura e questo è fondamentale perchè, come ho accennato sopra, per questo genere di materiali è necessario acquistare un forno appostito per la cottura. L'accostamento della tinta dell'argilla con i colori del rame è qualcosa di meravigliosamente naturale e tenue, che adoro. Insomma non vedo l'ora di fare tante tante tante cosine con l'argilla, il rame, e vediamo di inserire anche qualche pietra.

Come si legge nel titolo si parla anche di novità di idee, perchè trovo questo materiale molto adatto per i bambini quindi sto studiando qualche braccialettino o piccolo giochino. Ma non solo, come la vedete inserita nel genere home decor? Io molto molto bene, ho già fatto una cosina e ve la farò vedere presto!! Ma anche questo è un altro mondo, in cui mi vorrei addentrare piano piano, e ne parleremo nei prossimi post.

Where is born the clay idea. First of all I like to experience more things, I'm not the type that is fossilized on a few ideas also because I think that trying more things then you find a feeling with the right materials and right projects. I'm in love with ceramics, I lose hours wandering on Pinterest and observing everything that you can do with this wonderful material... you can not say, however, that it is an inexpensive hobby, it would take a good oven and now I can not place it among the spending desires list. So I tried a poorer material, I try a few years and finally, by chance, I found one that suits me. Anything close to what you can do with ceramics, but also with less important material you can be satisfy.

The clay has a natural color that I love so much, you can still color at will and, from what I could see, it is also durable and reliable then. The type of clay that I use does not need cooking and this is crucial because, as I mentioned above, for this kind of materials you need to buy an apposit oven for baking. The combination of the color of the clay with the colors of the copper is something of wonderfully natural and soft, which I love. So I do not wait to make many many many little things with clay, copper, and let's also put some stone. 

As write in the title it's also talk of new ideas, because I find this material very suitable for kids so I'm studying some little bracelet or small play. But not only, as you see it included in the genus home decor? I really, really well, I've done a little thing and I'll show you soon! But this is another world in which I would like to delve floor plan, and we'll talk about in future posts.

ORECCHINI A PERNO CON PIETRE COLORATE

Questi orecchini li vedo bene per quando non si ha voglia di indossarne di ingombranti o troppo appariscenti ma non si vuole comunque uscire senza. E' il classico orecchino che va bene sempre, e in effetti non ho una particolare descrizione da fare di loro... perchè nel loro minimalismo si descrivono già da soli!

Pietra a mezzo foro, perno in rame e farfallina in argento sterling. Nell'ordine, a partire dalla pietra bianca (foto sotto): agata bianca, quarzo rosa, occhio di tigre, avventurina pesca, onice blu, onice verde, onice nero.

These earrings looks good for when you do not want to wear bulky or too flashy earrings but you still not want to go out without them. It's the classic earring that is always good, and in fact I do not have to do a particular description of them ... because in their minimalism they describes already!
Stone half middle hole, pin in copper and sterling silver butterfly. In order, starting by the white stone (pictured below): white agate, rose quartz, tiger eye, peach aventurine, blue onyx, green onyx, black onyx.

PICCOLE GRANDI SODDISFAZIONI

Era da un po' che volevo provare a fare un castone, e avendo la necessità di abbinare degli orecchini ad una collana (già pronta e che vi mostrerò tra qualche giorno) ho colto l'occasione al volo. Questa collana è composta da un pendente in rame e acquamarina e decorata da dischetti, sempre di acquamarina ma multicolor. I dischetti, che come potete vedere dalle foto variano di tonalità, hanno un diametro di 1,00 cm, quindi ho pensato di sfruttarne le dimensioni ridotte e farne un paio di orecchini discreti ma eleganti.

It was a bit that I wanted to try to make a bezel, and having the need to match the earrings to a necklace (ready yet and I'll show you in a few days), I jumped at the chance. This necklace consists of a aquamarine and copper pendant and decorated with aquamarine multicolor disks. The discs, which as you can see from the pictures vary in hue, have a diameter of 1.00 cm, so I decided to take advantage of its small size and make a pair of earrings discreet but elegant.

Pur essendo forate, ho voluto utilizzare le pietre come se non lo fossero e mi sono dovuta ingegnare con tagli al mm e saldature multiple. Per bloccare la pietra ho spinto verso l'interno la lamina in superficie, ripiegandola, e utilizzando per queste operazioni l'attrezzo che vedete nell'immagine qui sotto.

Despite being drilled, I wanted to use the stones as if they were not and I had to employ with  cuts at mm and multiple welds. To lock the stone I pushed inward surface of the foil, folding it, and using for these operations  the tool that you see in the image below.

L'impressione finale è quella di aver iniziato a capire come realizzare questo tipo di castoni, e per questo sono contentissima!! Riuscire a fare qualcosa che sembrava impossibile è una soddisfazione enorme... Pur sapendo che devo lavorare ancora molto per raggiungere un buon risultato!

The final impression is that I have started to understand how to achieve this kind of ouches, and for that I am very happy! Being able to do something that seemed impossible is an enormous satisfaction... Knowing that I still needed to work to achieve a good result!

ETSY, W LE TREASURY

 
Etsy è uno di quei siti web che non mi stancano mai. L'ho scelto come negozio virtuale perché a primo impatto mi era piaciuto molto il modo in cui è impostato, e con il tempo mi ha convinta sempre di più. Cercare di essere all'altezza non è proprio facile, prima di tutto per la bravura dei tanti artiste/i presenti degni di essere chiamati tali, e poi in particolar modo per quanto riguarda le immagini: da quando sono su Etsy litigo intensamente con la reflex per tirar fuori qualcosa di particolare e per il momento siamo 1 - 0 per lei, tanto che ho in programma un restyling totale. 

Le foto sono infatti molto importanti. Rappresentano il primo impatto che chi ci segure tramite il web ha con quello che facciamo, sono ciò che deve attrarre l'occhio immediatamente. Una cosa molto carina che gli utenti di Etsy hanno la possibilità di fare con le foto, sono le treasury: una raccolta di 16 immagini di oggetti creati da diversi utenti che hanno in comune qualcosa, come il colore, l'utilità, ecc... voglio mostrarvi alcune delle treasury in cui sono stati inseriti i miei gioielli. Etsy is one of those websites that never get tired. I chose it as a virtual store because at first glance I really liked it the way it is set up, and over time has convinced me more and more. Match up with other users it's not really easy, first of their skill and then especially regarding images: since I've been on Etsy I quarrel intensely with the camera to make up with something special, and for the moment we are 1-0 for her, so I scheduled a total makeover.

The pictures are indeed very important. They represent in the web the first impression that people have with what we do, are what must to attract the eye immediately. A very cute thing that Etsy users have the opportunity to do with the photos, are treasuries: a collection of 16 images of objects created by different users that have something in common, such as color, utility, etc... PAROLA D'ORDINE: SEMPLICITA'

So di essere ripetitiva ma se è vero che non so mai decidermi, è anche confermato che una volta capito cosa voglio non mi smuove niente e nessuno. Sono convinta, voglio seguire la strada della semplicità per realizzare qualcosa di particolare, cercare di fare qualcosa di diverso, anche un po' strano, ma con poco. Quesi anelli altro non sono che filo metallico fuso alle estremità, detto alla buona "appallottolato".

Si può indossare in più di un modo, infatti ho voluto giocare un po' fotografandolo al dito, indossandolo prima in modo lineare e poi incrociato. Ma nulla vieta di indossarne più di uno facendo in modo che leghino tra di loro, e in questo caso si può giocare con i colori del rame, dell'argento, ma anche di eventuali anticature o colorazioni. Qualcosa mi dice che mi verrà presto voglia di sperimentare ancora con questo modello!

I know I'm repetitive but if it is true that I can never decide, it is also confirmed that once I understand what I want anyone or anything can moves me. I am convinced, I want to follow the path of simplicity to create something special, try to do something different, even a bit 'strange, but with a few. This rings are nothing more than melted wire in extremity, olso said "roll in to a ball".

It can be worn in more ways than one, in fact I wanted to play a little photographing my finger, before wearing it in a linear fashion and then cross. But nothing prevents to wear more than one of it by making sure that bind between them, and in this case you can play with the colors of copper, silver, but also of some antiquing or coloring. Something tells me that soon I will want to experiment with this model yet!

PARURE SU RICHIESTA

Partire da un'idea, creare una bozza sul taccuino e infine realizzarlo è entusiasmante, divertente e dà una certa soddisfazione. Ma un tuffo al cuore ce l'ho anche quando mi arriva una richiesta da una/o di voi, perchè quando qualcuno mi chiede di realizzare un accessorio in un certo modo significa che in qualche modo si affida a me. E' una gioia per me realizzare qualcosa su richiesta ed è anche divertente scoprire i gusti di altre persone, fare qualcosa di diverso.
