TUTORIAL: COME FAR APPALLOTTOLARE IL FILO METALLICO

 

Qui trovate un nuovo tutorial, scritto da me per Publihandmade. Questa volta si parla di come far appallottolare tramite fusione l'estremità del filo di rame / ottone / argento sterling.

Aggiungo qui un aggiornamento: ho ricevuto un'informazione tanto utile quanto curiosa tramite un commento di Daniela sul sito di Publihandmade, che riguarda l'ottone. Essendo una lega di rame e zinco, quest'ultimo dopo un po' di tempo si cristallizza e non permette più al filo di fondere nel modo giusto e appallottolarsi. Per me finora era un mistero, litigavo con l'ottone guardandolo disintegrarsi al calore della fiamma. Ora capisco il perché :)

I would add an update here: I have received information as useful as a curious by a comment by Daniela on the site of Publihandmade, which regards the brass. Being an alloy of copper and zinc, the latter after a while time crystallizes and does not allow at the wire to melt in the right way and make a ball. For me it was a mystery until now, I fought with the brass looking to it disintegrate in the heat of the flame. Now I understand why :)
